About the project
At the tail end of our Kathmandu Skatepark project in November 2016 we were offered a piece of land to build a park at the Olympic Sports Park in Pokhara, Nepal’s second largest city. After gaining permission from the local municipality we set out to, in partnership with Make Life Skate Life build a 500m2 international standard skatepark for community’s growing skateboarding population.
Construction spanned over three weeks in April of 2017 and included over 20 international volunteers who donated their time and shared their expertise with the many local volunteers who helped out in the building process.
Initial designs for the park were generously supplied by Wade Trevean and all images unless otherwise stated are courtesy of Sevenbythree.
